Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The battery problems of last month seem to be moving to a rectification.
A recent conference in Seattle brought all customer airlines together to hear of the company’s plan to fix the problem. Present plans suggest that the plane will be back in service in late March.
Since I first wrote this article in 2013 the Boeing 787 has had a wonderful safety record and to my knowledge has had no recurring electrical problems.
I have had the good fortune to fly to India on one of these planes and I have to say it was a very comfortable and quiet experience …but I was asleep for three hours!
