Last night there was an interesting program on the television about phobias.
If you happened to watch it and wondered if there is a connection between any of the phobias shown and your own fear of flying then I can explain.
Each of the phobics on the program was slowly introduced to the object of their fears. This is called graded exposure. Then and only when they were ready they had to face their fears. They had to touch a frog or approach a tall building, whatever their fear was they eventually had to face it and found that it wasn’t quite as bad as they had imagined.
