Fear of flying success story

Here's a picture of Jenny in the land of the you know what and where. (USA)

Jenny struggled with a fear of flying for years before deciding that she really needed to do something about it. She did and with the help of our book and attending our Sights and Sounds Seminar she finally made it to see her sister in Nashville.

Well done

Fear of Flying. Navigation

The first navigation exercises that new pilots undergo are prepared with a map, a pencil and a clock. They know which way the wind is blowing from the forecasts and allow for this when they point their aircraft towards the destination.
Like a boat adjusts for the tide a plane does the same with the wind.
By comparison a modern navigation system, based on the inertial platforms used on moon missions, give a position accuracy of a few meters after a journey of thousands of miles.
Aircraft store their routes in a data base and with one action the route from say Sydney to Denver will be shown on the flight management display. Turn on the autopilot engage the navigation computer and the plane does the rest.
So... sit back relax and let go of the arm rests. Everything has been taken care of. Leave your fear of flying behind and enjoy being in the care of professionals.

Fear of flying. Ground crew.

Even modern aircraft don't have screen washers like cars. They are of course less prone to picking up dirt than a car. However when they do need to be cleaned it's done like this...with special cleaner fluid. The pilots' screens are usually made of three independent layers of glass each reinforced to enormous strength. Even if two layers shattered the screen would be strong enough to do itsjob You will also see that on each side there are two small windows that are open. These are the direct vision windows. For people who are claustrophobic knowing that these windows can be opened in flight can be a source of great relief.
