Lisa suggests repeating what you know Post your hints and tips >

" The journey home on Saturday was very bumpy and there was a lot of low cloud as we got nearer the UK, making visability from the windows very poor, but by repeating 'it might be uncomfortable but it is not dangerous' as suggested on the CD, I was able to just concentrate on not being sick!!!! "

Emma - Relaxation Yoga Post your hints and tips >
" I did Iyengar yoga for a couple of years after going through a phase of having panic attacks and it helped no end! Even just the action of setting aside time for just yourself each week is a good thing.

Not sure what it was - probably the stretching, excercise and relaxation at the end - but always felt about 10 stone lighter after going and panic attacks stopped. I use the breathing techniques whenever I'm really nervous and they help.

You don't have to be an expert and I always sruggled to get in the 'poses' but just doing what you can is enough.

There are different types of yoga so just see what's on near you and give it a go. Easier if it's nearby because it's difficult to get motivated on a dark winters evening!"

Jasper recommends more practice Post your hints and tips >

"I flew to Washington DC. I flew back to England. Then I flew to Barbados. And Back. Then I did two fear-of-flying flights to keep myself topped-up as it were, and to have a go at helping others get flying. Then I flew to Thailand. That's a long way. I recommend Business Class."

Elizabeth suggests 'dry runs' Post your hints and tips >

"Had an interesting day yesterday travelling to Isle of Wight from Southsea to Ryde by hovercraft. The crossing takes approximately 10 mins each way. It was just like flying - you are enclosed, have your safety briefing and the staff refer to the journey as your flight.- and for part of the way it was very bumpy, in fact I was beginning to wish I had not just eaten a cheese sandwich, but thankfully the bumps ceased.

Just thought it might be good training for those people who dislike turbulence. All flights were cancelled on Friday due to the winds and heavy rain in the Solent but luckily the weather was sunny yesterday, although the sea was choppy. So I have added another form of transport to my list of achievements for this year- what next - a helicopter?"
